I turned off my laptop and started again, but the same message is there. It's more like 'the left cartridge is missing' and then 'the right cartridge is incorrect' and vice versa. This morning, I tried printing but I got different messages. As I didn't really need the color cartridge, I didn't buy another one. I had bought a replacement color cartridge a while back that if I remember correctly, was recommended by Dell, but it wasn't working and I have read that others had the same issue too. The ink on the page is very good and solid. When I print, I get an error message 'cartridge is empty' but I ignore it and continue printing without problems. Because I accidentally broke the cover of the color cartridge, I've been using the printer with only the black/white. I have the above mentioned printer for a few years and it comes with a color and black/white cartridge.
